A so-called NiF ( N achricht i m F ilm) is an illustrated remarks on television. It describes a news item that mostly shows pictures (a short video ) with a speaker's voice ( voice-over ).

NIFs are mostly used when a topic needs to be reported, but it is not relevant enough to show an entire article.
