Valve gate systems are hot runner nozzles for the injection molding of plastic parts. Here, the part is injected directly.

With normal hot runner nozzles that inject directly onto the plastic part, a small amount of spray remains at the tear-off point.

In the valve gate system, after the plastic compound has been injected, the gate diameter is closed by a steel needle and the residue is pressed into the plastic part. The needle is exactly flush with the surface of the plastic part. On the part you can only see a round mark.

Valve gate nozzles can also be used in cascade syringes .
