Nadin Deventer

Nadin Deventer (* 1977 in Ibbenbüren ) is a German cultural manager for jazz .

Deventer studied in Paris (where she went to school for a year when she was 15), Amsterdam and Berlin, among other things, jazz music and European studies. She then worked for the Festival van Vlaanderen in Brussels and the Ruhrtriennale and from 2008 in Bochum as a project manager for the preparation of RUHR.2010 - European Capital of Culture ; there she curated the 60 jazz concerts series No blah-blah! . She was also active in the Jazzplayseurope network in the Ruhr area and was the initiator of jazzwerkruhr and the federal jazz workshop . For your binational cooperation project What's in the fridge? at the Jazztopad Festival in Wrocław she presented the Polish jazz portal “Jazzarium” with the Breath-Taking Award.

In 2012 she was the only German to be elected to the board of the European Jazz Network . Since 2018 she has been artistic director of the Jazzfest Berlin , for which she has been production management since 2015 as the successor to Ihno von Hasselt (who was production manager since 1978).
