NagiosGrapher is as open source - software published extension to the monitoring software Nagios , which automatically Nagios performance data performance graphs created and automated searches in the Nagios web interface integrates.

functionality

As a result of a monitoring process, Nagios Check-Plugins deliver a character string as further information in addition to the monitoring result. NagiosGrapher extracts numerical performance data with the help of predefined regular expressions and saves them in an RRD database. The performance data can later be graphically displayed over time via an integrated web interface. NagiosGrapher creates a Nagios configuration instruction that links each graph within the normal Nagios web interface, so that it can be called up directly from the Nagios service detail view.

features

NagiosGrapher uses the standard Nagios interfaces and integrates fully automatically into the Nagios web interface. Host and service objects newly recorded in Nagios are automatically recognized and configured by the NagiosGrapher, so that no adjustments are required in Nagios itself. In addition to storing the performance data in an RRD database, NagiosGrapher can also store all data in an SQL database so that they are not subject to the automatic consolidation of the RRD database. A hook mechanism in NagiosGrapher allows the software to be easily expanded with new features.
