Nara (people)

The Nara are an ethnic minority living in Norderitrea . With a population of 26,000, they make up less than 1% of the total population of Eritrea; they are in turn divided into four sub-tribes: Higir, Mogareb, Koyta and Santora.

It is a typical, sedentary agricultural people who have settled along the border with Sudan today. The Nara are primarily Muslim .
