Nasciturus (Switzerland)

The child that has already been conceived but is still unborn is called a nasciturus (Latin for "who will be born"). That is why a human embryo is already called a nasciturus after implantation in the uterine lining . In Swiss law, the corresponding norms can be found in Art. 118 ff. StGB (for the protection of life before birth ), Art. 31, 544 ZGB (for legal capacity and inheritance). It is disputed whether legal protection occurs with conjugation , nidation or at another point in time.
