National Inventors Hall of Fame

The National Inventors Hall of Fame (German about National Hall of Fame of Inventors ) is an organization that honors important inventors from the USA and other countries. She has a museum in Akron ( Ohio ) and an annual installation ceremony.

It is a not for profit founded in 1973 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the National Council of Intellectual Property Law Associations .

By 2007, 371 people had been honored as members. They are listed on the list of members of the National Inventors Hall of Fame .

To be accepted, the person must hold a US patent and their invention should have contributed to the advancement of science, craft or industry, and the prosperity of the nation.
