The National Progressive Party was a white minority party in Northern Rhodesia. There were no members of any other ethnic group. Its chairman was Hugh Stanley (?), Who had been Mayor of Kitwe in 1958/59 . In the election in Zambia in 1964 , she won all whites reserved seats in the Zambian Legislative Council ( legislative council ), which on 14 December 1964, two months after independence as the Republic of Zambia in the National Assembly of Zambia has been renamed.
