National Savings and Credit Bank of Zambia , also NSCB or NatSave , is a bank in Zambia . It is based in the NSCB building on Cairo Road in Lusaka .

NSCB is a 100 percent state-owned company, reports directly to the Minister of Finance and is based on the National Savings and Credit Act (No. 24, Chapter 5 of the Zambian Laws). It is the largest bank in Zambia and has branches across the country, albeit anything but nationwide.

NSCB was founded with a social mandate and aims to provide banking services at reasonable prices throughout Zambia, especially in rural areas. In fact, for the overwhelming majority of Zambians, the NSCB is the only access to payment, credit, and accounts. Conversely, the NSCB is the only way the government can mobilize its citizens' assets as investment capital.

NSCB differs from the state-dominated Zambia National Commercial Bank primarily in terms of its customer base and business area. ZNCB is above all a commercial bank, NSCB above all a giro bank.

Recently, more and more microcredits have been offered, i.e. loans for people who were previously unable to get hold of them because they were too poor and also too easy.
