National information point on cultural heritage

The National Information Center on Cultural Heritage NIKE is a Swiss association whose aim is the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural assets in Switzerland. The head office is in Bern .

39 professional associations and organizations with 92,000 members make up the association. As a service center in the field of cultural property preservation, NIKE networks the experts and organizes specialist training. It familiarizes political authorities, the media and the general public with the social significance and the diverse concerns of preserving cultural assets. As one of the four partner organizations of Alliance Patrimoine, it advocates cultural heritage on a political level.

The association coordinated at the national level, the European Heritage Days , the European Heritage Days in Switzerland and is the NIKE bulletin out that annually published five or six times with a circulation of about 2,400 copies.
