National Guarantee Fund Switzerland
The Swiss National Guarantee Fund (NGF) is an institution anchored in the Swiss Road Traffic Act.
Its primary purpose is to provide financial cover for damage caused by unidentified or uninsured motor vehicles , trailers and bicycles in Switzerland. It also covers liability for damage if bankruptcy has been opened through the liability insurer liable for payment .
The Swiss National Guarantee Fund, organized in the form of an association based in Zurich , is funded by the insurance institutions authorized to operate motor vehicle liability insurance in Switzerland. The National Guarantee Fund is financed by a statutory fee that is levied on passenger cars, heavy motor vehicles and motorcycles.
