Natiq Şirinov

Natiq Şirinov (* 1975 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijani drummer . His instrument is the double-headed tubular drum nağara , which he plays with his hands.

As a child he received lessons on the tubular drum nağara. From 1999 to 2007 he was a member of the folklore band of Alim Qasimov and thus had global appearances. Since 2002 Natiq Şirinov has had his own drumming group, the "Natiq Ritm Qrupu" (English: Natig Rhythm Group ). With this he has performed at drum festivals all over the world. The biggest appearance of the group was as a pause filler at the first semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku together with the Azərbaycan Dövlət Rəqs Ansamblı , the state dance ensemble of Azerbaijan.
