The red beech (Fettküche) natural monument is located about 900 m southeast of the Fettküche settlement on the B 7 in the urban area of Marsberg . The tree was designated as a natural monument (ND) in 2001 with the Hoppecketal landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The natural monument is surrounded by the nature reserve Grünlandtälchen north of the Forstenberg .
