Natural stone heating
The natural stone heating belongs in the broader sense to the family of partial storage heaters .
A natural stone heater (also sometimes colloquially called marble heater ) is an electric heater , which, however, unlike most of these devices, has a particularly high proportion of thermal radiation.
construction
It consists of a conventional natural stone slab as well as the various electrical components.
The natural stone heating is usually heated by means of encapsulated heating cables that have been inserted into milled grooves.
Other forms of heat generation are different boards and heating conductor layers that are attached in the middle or behind the stone.
functionality
In contrast to central heating or various electrical direct heaters (partial storage heating, night storage heating, etc.), natural stone heating does not primarily generate convection heat, but radiant heat (infrared radiation).
The stone warms the surfaces surrounding the room and any bodies in the room.
Surface temperature
Due to the sluggish thermal conductivity of natural stone, there is no risk of burns.
Electrical connection
As with any heating installation, it is also advisable to have the natural stone heating installed by a specialist company.
