The Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (German Marine- & Marinekorps-Leistungsmedaille ) is an achievement medal (achievement medal) of the armed forces of the United States , which is given for military merit to younger officers and crew ranks, if the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal is not can be used.

All branches of the armed forces have their own Achievement Medal, the Navy & Marine Achievement Medal is intended for military service in the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps .

The Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal has existed since 1961. Achievement Medals for the other armed forces were created later.

Multiple awards are shown with stars.

In the Order of Precedence, Achievement Medals rank below Commendation Medals, such as the Joint Service Commendation Medal or the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal and above the Commandant's Letter of Commendation and the Combat Action Ribbons.
