Nawaf ibn Faisal ibn Fahd ibn Abd al-Aziz Al Saud ( Arabic نواف بن فيصل بن فهد بن عبد العزيز آل سعود, DMG Nawāf b. Faiṣal b. Fahd b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Āl Saʿūd ; * April 1, 1978 ) is a Saudi Arabian politician . He comes from the Saud dynasty .

Life

Nawaf is the eldest son of Faisal ibn Fahd (1945–1999). From 2002 to 2014 he was a full member of the International Olympic Committee and President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee. Until March 1, 2012, he was President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation . Nawaf ibn Faisal ibn Fahd was the successor to his uncle Sultan ibn Fahd in Saudi Arabia until 2014 as the Minister for Youth. In 2012 he advocated sending female athletes from Saudi Arabia to the Olympic Games in London. He has been an honorary member of the IOC since 2014.
