The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) is the football umbrella organization of Saudi Arabia founded in 1956 . The association organizes the matches of the national soccer team and has been a member of FIFA since it was founded and has been a member of the AFC since 1972 . The association has also been a member of the Union of Arab Football Associations since 1974 and of the West Asian Football Federation since 2010 .

The national team took part in four world championships (as of June 2016). The association's greatest success was winning the U-16 World Cup in 1989 with the U-17 juniors .
