al-Ittihad al-Bahraini li-kurat al-qadam ( Arabic الاتحاد البحريني لكرة القدم, DMG al-ittiḥād al-baḥrainī li-curat al-qadam ; English Bahrain Football Association , BFA) is the Bahraini football association.
The Bahrain Football Association was founded in 1957. In 1966, the small state joined FIFA and three years later the Asian Football Confederation . The Bahraini national soccer team has so far participated in three Asian soccer championships (1988, 2004 and 2007). From 2002 to 2013, Salman bin Ibrahim Al Chalifa was the association's president .
The association manages the Bahraini Premier League and organizes the games of the Bahraini national soccer team and their youth teams.
