The Afghanistan Football Federation ( German  Afghan Football Federation ; Darī فدراسیون فوتبال افغانستان) is the national football association of Afghanistan . The association, based in Kabul , was founded in 1922, joined the world football association FIFA in 1948 and the Asian continental association AFC in 1954 . The President of the Afghanistan Football Federation is Keramuudin Karim (as of September 2014). As a member of the South Asian Football Federation , the association is authorized to participate in the South Asian Cup; the men's national team reached the final there in 2011 and won the title two years later.
