NGC 130 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation fish on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 203 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy is considered a member of the NGC 128 group .

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 125 , NGC 126 , NGC 127 , IC 17 .

The object was discovered on November 4, 1850 by the Irish astronomer Bindon Blood Stoney , an assistant to William Parsons .
