NGC 114 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Forest Fish south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 190 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 45,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 113 , NGC 118 , NGC 120 , NGC 124 .
The object was discovered on September 23, 1867 by the American astronomer Truman Henry Safford .
