NGC 139 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 550 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 138 and NGC 141 .
The object was discovered as a foggy object on August 29, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
