NGC 138 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 536 million light years from the Milky Way and about 205,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 139 and NGC 141 .
The object was discovered on August 29, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
