NGC 138 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 536 million light years from the Milky Way and about 205,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 139 and NGC 141 .

The object was discovered on August 29, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
