NGC 160 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 241 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 160,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 169 and IC 1559 , among others .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on December 5, 1785 .
