NGC 164 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 182 , NGC 186 , NGC 194 , NGC 198 , among others .
The object was discovered on August 3, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
