NGC 150 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SB (rs) bc in the constellation Sculptor in the southern sky . It is about 71 million light years away from the Milky Way , with a diameter of about 55,000 light years. The supernova SN 1990k was sighted here in 1990 .
NGC 150 is a member of the NGC-134 group , a galaxy group that also includes NGC 115 , NGC 131 , NGC 134 and NGC 148 , PGC 2000 , IC 1555 and PGC 2044 .
The galaxy NGC 150 was discovered on November 20, 1886 by the American astronomer Lewis A. Swift .
