NGC 126 is a Lenticular galaxy from the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation fish on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 185 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years across . Its direction of movement and radial velocity seem to indicate that it is a member of the NGC 128 galaxy group , which also includes NGC 125 , NGC 127 , NGC 128, and NGC 130 .
The object was discovered on November 4, 1850 by the Irish astronomer Bindon Blood Stoney , an assistant to William Parsons .
