NGC 125 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 242 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years in diameter . Together with NGC 126 , NGC 127 , NGC 128 and NGC 130 , it forms the NGC 128 group .
The object was discovered on December 25, 1790 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
