NGC 96 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 283 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 90 , NGC 93 , NGC 94 , IC 1546 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered on October 24, 1884 by the French astronomer Guillaume Bigourdan .
