NGC 80 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 262 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 81 , NGC 83 , NGC 85 , IC 1546 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on August 17, 1828 .
