IC 1546 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble-type Sbc in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is an estimated 267 million light years from the Milky Way and has extensive star formation regions . The galaxy is a member of the NGC-80 group.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 20, 1897 .
