IC 1565 = IC 1567 is a cD galaxy of the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 511 million light years from the Milky Way and about 150,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1566 , IC 1568 , IC 1569 , IC 1570 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 24, 1897 .
