IC 1585 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Andromeda on the northern sky . It is estimated to be 335 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 80,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies IC 1583 and IC 1586 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 23, 1897 .
