IC 1596 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 126 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 17, 1897 .
