IC 1586 is a compact dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type C in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 266 million light years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1583 and IC 1585 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 23, 1897 .
