IC 1599 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 443 million light years from the Milky Way and about 145,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 343 , IC 1588 , IC 1600 , IC 1601 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on November 3, 1898 .
