IC 1610 is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Cetus south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 242 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years across.

The Type Ia supernova SN 2000dr was observed here.

The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on December 13, 1895 .
