IC 1627 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Phoenix in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 271 million light years from the Milky Way and about 200,000 light years across.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1621 , IC 1630 , IC 1631 , IC 1633 .

The property was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in 1899 .
