IC 1646 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 522 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 1645 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 24, 1897 .
