IC 1659 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E3 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 314 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 110,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky are the galaxies NGC 444 , NGC 452 , IC 1654 , among others .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 6, 1899 .
