IC 1637 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Sculptor in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 269 million light years from the Milky Way and approximately 135,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 418 .
The property was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in 1899 .
