Canelita Medina

Rogelia Medina Romero (born March 6, 1939 in La Guaira ), known as Canelita Medina or Canelita , is a Venezuelan singer.

Canelita attended the Colegio Francisco Fajardo . She made her debut as a singer in a talent program for Radio Continente . As a professional singer, she then performed with Sonora Caracas (1956-64), in the 1960s with Los Megatones de Lucho , in the 1970s with Víctor Piñeros Los Caribes and finally with the Estrellas Latinas . After a break of several years, she returned to the stage as a singer with the Federico Betancourt Orchestra. 1979 her solo album Sones y Guajiras was created ; she recorded two records with percussionist Carlos Emilio Landaeta .

Canelita was married to the pianist Alfredo Sojo . From this marriage the singer Trina de los Ángeles Medina emerged.
