NGC 76 is a galaxy in the constellation Andromeda . It is about 335 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 95,000 light years. The dwarf galaxy PGC 1266 , about 25 million light-years further away, could be a companion.
It was discovered on September 22, 1884 by the French astronomer Guillaume Bigourdan .
