The Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) is the football umbrella organization of the Republic of China (Taiwan) founded in 1924 (according to FIFA 1936 ) . The association became a member of FIFA in 1954 as the China National Football Association and a founding member of the AFC . The association has also been a member of the East Asian Football Federation since 2002 . Since then he has changed his name several times, including 1954 to the Republic of China Football Council , 1973 to the Republic of China Football Association and most recently in 1981 to the Chinese Taipei Football Association . The official Chinese name is still Football Association of the Republic of China .

From 1975 to 1980 the association belonged to the Oceanic Football Association .

In addition to the national teams, the association also organizes the national leagues, including the National Urban League .
