Union of Arab Football Associations
The Union of Arab Football Associations , Arabic الاتحاد العربي لكرة القدم, officially abbreviated as UAFA , is the football umbrella organization for the countries of the Arab League . The member associations are organized partly in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and partly in the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF).
history
UAFA was founded in Tripoli , Libya in 1974 . In 1976 a general assembly was held in Damascus , Syria , and headquarters were relocated to their current headquarters in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia .

The UAFA currently has 22 members. All UAFA members of the AFC are also members of the West Asian Football Association (WAFF). All members of the WAFF and the Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF) are UAFA members.
