Negativism (Critical Rationalism)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Critical Rationalism, negativism is the position that valid arguments can never have confirmatory effects, but that they only ever judge an assertion negatively and critically. Negativism is opposed to positivism , which seeks positive results for assertions and tries to strengthen these assertions with arguments.
