Nei Leandro de Castro

Nei Leandro de Castro (born May 30, 1940 in Caicó ) is a Brazilian writer. He is a representative of the Brazilian process art movement ( poema / processo ).

Life

Leandro de Castro studied law, but then turned to advertising. He was one of the co-founders of Tribuna do Norte magazine in Natal . In 1968 he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he lived until 2005.

He has published several volumes of poetry, most of which are devoted to the subject of eroticism , such as Zona Erógena and Era uma Vez Eros . From the 1980s, the novels O dia das moscas (1983) and As Dunas Vermelhas appeared . For his novel As pelejas de Ojuara (1986) he was honored by the Brazilian writers' association União Brasileira de Escritores . The book was filmed in 2007 under the title O Homem que Desafiou o Diabo . In 2009 de Castro published his last book: A Fortaleza dos Vencidos .
