Neil Castles (born October 1, 1934 in Charlotte , North Carolina ) is a retired American automobile racing driver .
Career
Despite 178 top 10 placements (including 51 × top 5) in 498 races in the Grand National Series or Winston Cup Series between 1957 and 1976 , Castles never managed to win a race, making him the driver with the most top 10 without wins or pole positions , as well as the one with the most top 5 positions without pole position. Castles had his best season in 1969 when he finished fourth in the final standings.
