Nelore bull

The Nelore cattle is a Zebu cattle breed and was bred in Brazil ongole cattle imported from India . Its name comes from the Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh in India. Nelores have an extremely large hump that extends over the shoulder and neck. Their long legs help them wade and graze in the water.

Nelores can be kept under a wide variety of climatic conditions. They are very tolerant of high temperatures and have a natural resistance to parasites and diseases.

Most of the nelores are bred in Brazil.
