Nenke & Ostermaier was an art publisher for the printing, distribution and trading of book printing and art items, in particular of picture and art postcards in the form of photochromes from our own production. The company was based in Dresden .

The company appeared from 1900. The company owners had specialized in the production of photochromes, which they issued as a series of up to 10 postcards each for the entire German Empire, but also for the Alpine region and the Italian coastal region.

Among the artists who worked for the publishing house was, for example, the Austrian marine and landscape painter Alexander Kircher . He published a series of postcards from World War I in the printing house and publishing house Nenke & Ostermaier.
